Reg is NX55 AXN, it's a good wood green mk2 saloon that was previously owned by Gary Maxtone from what I've been told but I'll be totally honest the name doesn't ring any bells with me unless it's just because I've never heard the surname before?

Any info would be appreciated :)

I just can't place the surname but then I mostly know people from their usernames on here other than the few I've met properly.

Car does look nice and has had the usual bits done so a good base platform hopefully.

Ah Maxfly.. I never knew that was his name. Ah ok then I thought the reg seemed familiar as didn't he do the dash in the black oak and so on iirc?
I'm sure I remember the car now if it is that one I'm thinking of.

Not quite as clean now and suffering a couple of minor war wounds but at that's handy to know.

Yeah that's the one. Yep suffering from thermostat issues at present and then a few bodywork bits but nothing too serious on that front at all.

He said he's sorting the stat and in fairness if I was to buy it, driving back from Scotland would want it done before making the trek home.

I really like the colour, suits the shape of the zs well in both hatch and saloon. He is being very reasonable with what he's saying so will have to see what happens.
There's a few I've spoken to people about so will just depend on which one suits best.

Aye that's my old one. First boy I sold it to worked it hard, did near 35000 in the year or so he had it, has had replacement engine and gearbox. The current Garry looks to have been doing quite a few bits to get it decent again though. It had Sheddist kit and afaia vis indicators that require connecting to the loom. Also sure it had the grey axis interior now.

The thermostat should fail open so it shouldn't overheat, just give worse fuel ecconomy.

Unless it is pouring out like Niagara Falls stopping regularly and topping up will cover it leaking.

As a safety precaution have breakdown cover with relay.

If you have an OBD2 device use it to monitor coolant tempreture.

It's a very nice car indeed, a good detail and a few new parts it will be good as new :)
