Just had my renewal through from Quote me Happy, was £280 last year, I have moved to Essex from Wiltshire so it is I'm assuming a higher risk postcode but my renewal is...................£898!!!!!!!! Wow nearly fell off my chair......One word.......Robbery!!! Think I will be shopping around.
Wow that's shocking! I pay £180 for my MK1 120 which is parked on the road! But I am old

Well I'm certainly not a young pup at 42, that's with 10 years NCB as well. The cheapest I have found on comparison sites is £420 with FluxDirect, still a bit more than I wanted to pay really, I only drive her 6 months a year.

What model is it, the 900 BHP Rocket propelled one
That's stupid, I am only 5 years older and 6 years no claims. It has to be down to the area?

It's probably because now I am back in Essex I am obviously going to be wheel spinning and doing donuts around Southend seafront with my Sub blaring out

Insurance is a con!
We moved house, my other half called to change her insurance and they said oh its going to increase because you have moved in to a higher risk area...
I called my insurance and they said oh you will be happy sir - your new home is in a lower risk area so we can confirm your payments will decrease...
Work that one out!

If doing low miles >5k a year then try Peter Best insurance. If an MGCC member it only cost me £138 fully comp and they don't take into consideration NCB. That's with a modified policy as well. The ZS is considered a modern classic

I was with AXA a couple of years ago, but when I brought the MK2 and declared the Mods they refused to insure me.

May give them a ring, I have been stating 7000 miles a year but I've had her nearly 2 years and only clocked up 4000, although haven't been a MGCC member for a few years.

£470 with Peter Best and that is without mods, would only insure me with mods if I was with MGCC!
Best so far is £380 going through Sky Insurance

£138 with all mods declared. Was cheaper to join the MGCC otherwise it was around £350 so worth paying the membership fee.
