Need some recommendations for insurance companies pls guys.
Had a ridiculous quote for £650 from direct line on a 180 I am looking at tonite
I am 47 with full no claims / accidents and convictions. Ffs I was only paying £600 on the 300hp reyland with all mods declared [emoji35][emoji35]

Modified? Annual mileage? I use Peter Best on a classic policy with 5k a year with all mods declared for £138 with MGCC membership. They also do not take your NCB into consideration. Other than that try Sky Insurance, Adrian Flux. Surprised at DirectLine as they only charged me £340 to insure the Discovery 3.

Sky insurance. I might be a little bias, their HQ is round the corner from my house lol

Paid £340 all mods declared on my 180. 27 and 6years NCB with Adrian flux.
Really helpful on the phone too all sorted quickly and easily.
Far cheaper than the £600+'s I was getting quoted.

AXA direct was the best deal for me, a little older than you, but similar ncb etc.

First time this year that premium dropped, albeit by a few bob so stayed with Hastings £200 for 12months fully comp on the scooby ain't bad. First time I stayed with a firm in years. Always shopped around and changed.

Pete best are really good for second car if you only want to do 2000 miles a year. But if your only car I heard you don't accrue NCB and after 2 years what NCB you had before is no longer valid so you have to start again.

Quite correct, had all this with classic car insurance a few years back.
