I know this isn't to everyone's taste and it wasn't to mine until this year. But bought myself a kit and decided to give it a go. The painting isn't 100% (I got an E at A-level art) and I was a bit dubious when just painting but after the wheels went back on, I love the look.

Whilst I had the wheels off, and time to spare between coats and refitting, I cleaned the wheels up inside. All. My. Days. 3/4 where okay but one was caked in grease and muck. My plans for the summer are to either get these wheels refurbed in black or get a set of 5/6 spoke white wheels. Thoughts?

Cheers chaps, I'm liking it more I look at it. Black wheels are definitely out of the question.

You know what, I never considered this. One of the wheel nuts on the problem wheel wouldn't fit the wrench so had problems with that and consequently blamed everything on that nut. Gonna give the car a good seeing to before PoL so will have a look around the CV joint then

Nothing at all wrong with that, looks great. I done mine in red last year, behind the white straights they look excellent.

Looks good! Now I know what colour to do mine.

The kit I got was E-tech. they do ten colours (only one green) and it comes with degreaser, the paint and a brush. Very easy to use, although it says to use the degreaser liberally but there isn't that much to go mad with it.

I got mine from eBay from partselleruk, if you don't mind a long wait then they sell it for £12 + pp (it's advertised as 2 - 3 days delivery by Royal Mail but it's sent 7 - 10 by Hermes)
