Right before you lot all start shouting, the Firefrost isn't going anywhere!!

Some of you might recognise it from a recent new member.
....(photo)

Anyway got a bargain and ok it needs a little work but it will be my workhorse instead of putting all the miles on the firefrost.

Just needs front pads replacing and has a slight leak from the waterpump. Not gonna go made, chuck some coolant sealer in there.

....

So now I have saved more than I have broke!!

....

....
And .... I'll give it a month before you break it.

:thankyou:

So why are we breaking it?

And are you going to swap the interior to your mk2, it's much nicer and makes the car quitter.

The only thing i'm swapping is the early door cards with the trim and the electric rear windows. The thick pile carpet will be for sale.

This subject about breaking seems to crop up every time when anyone see's a perfectly good ZS for sale. Admittedly, it frustrates me when you see a car being broke up just for the sake of a worn tire, or a seized calliper etc, but I can see why people do it. I'm considering the same with my ZS next year, sell it complete for next to nothing or sell it in bits and at the expense of a bit of time, make a few more quid.

I sometimes think that some of the issues I've had with my car would have reduced people to tears or breaking point, but I always see through the issues, sort them out and it always puts a smile back on my face!

Each to their own, at the end of the day!

End of the day its a £600 motor that needs more than that to get it back on the road, and its not a mk2 firefrost :P

Fair do's, I see your point :) Makes me wonder if one day they will be worth something though?

They will rise in value eventually, right now they're going through the normal cycle of all old cars, when people start to think " I haven't seen one of those mg zs for years" the prices will start to rise.

What we need is a bit of the VW/Ford scene thing to rub off on MG
