The topic of much debate on bookface lately. Alot for what is a rebadged and rebodied 45. Even the Vin number on the build data site comes back as invalid which suggests it went down the line from start to finish as a 45 and was rebodied on the QT. May have alot of insurance implications if so. Nice car but worth nowhere near that amount. 7.5k and reserve still hasnt been met

I'm not having the story to be honest. If it was a factory conversion surely it would be registered as such and it's not a sport leather interior either as per the supposed build sheet, it's a 45 interior. Looks nice, but come on.... It's just a nice zs copy I reckon.

I'm also not sure I buy fitting the ZT gearbox.

That is a huge amount of custom work to make fit and I don't think would be done "by the factory" it's probably just the step-speed still - there was not much power/torque difference with the 2.0 vs 2.5 KV6.

Stupid money for a re-bodied R45; should just be advertised as such as it isn't worth more as a ZS IMO.

Agreed .... if it was swapped over, it'd have the rest of the ZT switchgear, knob etc - it's a R45 I reckon with the 2.0l V6.

Show me the RR printout to show the 177bhp of the ZT auto.

old story, it is worth what someone will pay for it.

Will be interesting to see what it goes for.

Is a one off, whatever it is.

Well someone is buying it, the car and the story! 27 bids and pushing. Yes it looks good but I would need 100% evidence from the previous owners or better still ex-MGR employees who actually worked on it to be convinced.

If he'd put pictures of the engine bay with the converted gearbox I'd be a lot less sceptical.

Still the reserve hasn't been met; but still 5 days to go...

and the private plate has been un-registered, so no idea to see what the engine details say about it either.
As we all know, saying it's a 2.0 when it is a 2.5 will invalidate insurance... ;)
