... thats almost 29MPG!!! Not bad for a V6. :D

But i would point out that i spent little time sitting in traffic so that explains part of it. Could the sitting about for 15 mins every morning going to work count for a 5MPG reduction?

I hope i can see some good MPG next week, driving up to Alton Towers, 207 miles around town normally uses 3/4 of a tank! Hoping for better on a long run

29's what I got out of my last 40 litres. I went steady at 75ish on the motorway on the commute which is about 2 miles A road, 15 M'way and then 2 down a high street, stop start.

I'll be honest, I didn't think I'd get that much from it so I'm pretty chuffed that I know, if I feel like it, it'll be OK.

Just got 43mpg from the 120 on a round trip to Brands!
Can vary so much, can even be as little as 24!

i get 500 miles from about 45 litres (as the red line is reached on the gauge) so thats 50mpg. Trouble is diesel is now 8-9 p per litre more so the saving is practically nothing.

70-85 on M'way and 'Dual' for about 20 miles and 7 miles on 'ordinary' roads twice a day. Slip roads are my 'launch slip'. :)

Sitting in traffic is't the killer, it's the on/off/on throttle as the traffic creeps forwards, and the squirts of throttle in between. I can get 2 return journeys from Brum to Newport pagnell (about 300 miles) between fills on LPG, but 1 crash, and a 15 minute crawl, means that I can't do more than 270-280, so I have to fill up on the M1, at 6p litre extra.

I did a run from near Gatwick to just North of Manchester and back last week in the 180, did the run up at an average of over 60mph!

Total for the run was 27mpg!

Well impressed compared to my 3.5 Range Rover or the V6 2.9 Espace before that.
