Well for experience tomorrow night will be far far to late. the paint gets a surface oxidisation within about 4-6 hours of claying a car and if you park it near a tree or heaven forbid a bird craps on it then your in trouble. I mean i know the megs kit uses detailer spray which does give some protection but i cannot stress enough how important it is to follow up with a good light polish and then either a wax or better still a wax and sealant. With a decent sealant you can almost get away with just washing it and then twice a year re-applying the wax and sealant. that way there is nothing for the crap to bond to.

That is niiiiice.

I have a few free evenings now for a change so i'm trying to get a few things like this done when i have the chance. Front calipers were tonight - only had the paint about a year. :)

It is definatly the best thing i have ever bought for my car.... Super smooth paintwork is an under-statement when i used it.

No problem carl. i have to say that washing and detailing the car is a love hate for me. I hate when you get to the mid point of cleaning and arm hurts etc but it is always worth it when you step back and see the end result.

I admire folks who do this work as I do not have the patience to clean it all day, I'd rather be driving it! :D

I used to clean my cars heavily many many years ago when I did car shows, but then my back was in much better condition back then. Some of my previous were entered into concours events, I was on my way to the All Vauxhall Rally at Billing one year in the late 80's only to break down with a blown hose on the M25. I was late for the show and missed the judging, I still lined up with the other club stands cars and was told if I had been on time I would probably would have won it. Ho hum!

I know my zed needs this treatment as it has a few marks on it from when it was sorn'd :hmmm:

Some of you mention above about the effort it takes to clean / polish your car.. This meguiars clay bar is very very easy to use, it is not hard work at all, the clay bar just glides across the pain with no effort, but you get maximum result. Then as for polishing afterwards, it is so much easier than it was before because the paint is smooth...... No more needs be said!!!

I would agree 100%. I 'bit the bullet' last night and bought some... the ½ of the car that i managed to clay and polish is lovely and smooth... the other ½ - different story. Lets hope it's nice tonight so i can finish it off.
