Powered by what exactly? Couldn't read the small print!

That is certainly low! What suspension have you got? What mods have you done to get it to 200BHP?

Here's a question... what percentage of MG Rover cars have Longbridge registration numbers?:ike:

Started of with Spax on my 2000 model but found that after time the threads started to corode which made it hard to adjust the car height. When i swapped the car for the later model in 2004 i changed for AVO coilovers which so far have been fine.
To date i have done the following to get the car to 200 bhp:
Home made air intake system.i.e with the cone filter sitting under the wing where the resonator would sit(and i still think this is the best way to do the intake).
Mannis back Piper exhaust system
Piper 270 cams and vernier pulleys.

Progress was as follows:
Standard car Rolling Roaded at 173bhp
Cat back exhaust and intake fitted 184 bhp
Cams/Verniers fitted 203 bhp

Car really responded to Cams well.Did have a Piggyback ECU fitted but it done diddly squat for the power so ended up taking it off.
Although the power is not the best i feel a lot has to be said for a fairly hard suspension setup.i know its not everyones cup of tea but the responsivness of the car on excelleration with stiff springs etc is so much better than the standard stuff where a lot of that responsivness is sapped by the rear suspension.
I dont know just my thoughts.

that is SO SO nice! that's what i want :D:D
Only thing I don't like is the stickers on the back, apart from that it's perfect, top effort :) how does it compare to other 'fast' cars?

Is 203Bhp at the wheels or at the flywheel?

No sorry guys thats at the fly. With regards as to how it compares to other cars.My mate in Germany has a Renault megane F1.Thats 235bhp as standard on a car that has plastic wings everywhere. From a standing start on the autobahn at night there's absolutely nothing in it up till about 135mph then the megane started pulling away.....SLOWLY.By the time we'd finished and he'd pulled me along in his slipstream i was doing just over 150mph about 500revs away from the redline.

Right! I shall not say anything on here as I have not had any dealings with them. There are some good experiences and some not so good experiences I have read on various forums.

Moving on...........

Good spec there too, seems about right for the mods done. I must admit my suspension doesn't bother me that much, I still have the OE set-up and its as good as any previous modded car I've owned. However, until I've tried it I wouldn't know that! Seemed okay on track as well.

A company called Aldon Automotives in the West Midlands.Family buisness been going some time and have had dealings with Nasp cars a lot. He's not a Rover/MG specialist but had the car 2 days and have never had a problem with oil leaks etc in the time ive had em fitted.Almost 35000km.

Yeah it comes as a complete coilover kit as thats all you can get for the zs180 i think. Its AVO's sports evo gtz kit.Retails for about £600 i think.Fully adjustable shocks and ride height.

No sorry guys that's at the fly.

So that's around 172-3bhp at the wheels then, pretty similar to mine.

Mine is 198bhp at the fly and a 170bhp at the wheels, and that's with a BMC filter, and a totally bespoke exhaust system.

Depends on how you like to ride the car.The shocks have about 16 different hardness settings so you can have it as hard or as soft as you like.I have it set about 4 from the most hard which is quite rough but it goes round corners like something else.

Murray, since you're in Kent, why don't you come along to the next Maidstone meet. We're a friendly bunch, and I'm sure that some of the regulars would love to see your car in the flesh.

Details of the next meet are, or wil be, in a separate thread.

it's the principle, I don't care if you pm'd him, they should goto the person who's prepared to pay the most money, not the person who posted 2 mins before. Anyway, as I said in the other thread, they're yours.

To be honest mate i couldn't really tell you exactly.Trial and error.Dropped it as far as i dare without sacrificing the wheels banging on the top of the arch on full lock. What i will say is that the struts still have about 3" of lowering adjustment still left on em.

StevieA ZS120

so if i was to stick them on with my 7.5x18s im pretty much fucked the i would need to go back to 17s to be on the safe side

No you would be able to use them with your 18's.You just wouldn't be able to lower as far as mine if you didn't want to risk knocking the arch.I can heighten my suspension by a good 2"+ if i wanted to so you'd get em on with those wheels easy.I'm currently running 8x18" and there still ok.

Got the cams and pullies done when i was working in the west midlands. It was a garage called Aldon Automotives. They specialise in NA cars and had never done a set of cams on a zs before. Done a good job with 19bhp at the fly increase straight away. Have suffered no problems form the fit either and the car has done approx 50,000 miles since having it done.
