Read about a scenic road about 50 miles away from me, so went to check it out today - took some pics!

Only 3 made the cut in the end; I should have taken more but my time was limited.

Also while I had my camera out this car drove past me, not sure what it was so maybe someone here will know!

Its a GTM Libra. The engine from my project ZS180 ended up in one of these. However, the one in your photo is a 1.8.

Its the B4574, near Cwmystwyth in mid Wales. I didnt travel the whole road, but apparently its quoted by the AA to be one of the Top 10 most scenic drives in the world! Not sure about that, but the spot in the photos was certainly very nice. If I hadnt needed to get back for work, I would have explored the area more.

I should have cleaned the car before going, but thought by the time I got there it would just be mucky again so didnt bother. Just remembered I havent put the site stickers on yet either! Doh! Theyre in my glovebox atm... next lot of photos they should be on there :)

Ah, never heard of GTM! Just checked out the specs on their website - pretty damn impressive car! 135PS from the 1.8, and 0-60 in 5.8! Wow! For such a small amount of power, thats pretty damn quick. Sounded nice as it drove past too.

I drove the one that we put my KV6 into. Now that did accelerate quite fast! Have to say that I was not impressed with either the brakes (guess I'm too used to servo assistance now) or the steering. There seemed to be a problem with the steering geometry with the car that I drove. If you turned the steering wheel past a certain point the steering turned of its own accord and you had to wrestle the wheel back towards the centre.

Cracking pics...

Shooting in RAW mode or 'Fine' JPEG? Probably the JPEG as there is a lot of detail and a RAW would be about twice the size.

Cheers guys :D

Yeah I think I took these with the max jpeg setting. Havent tried out Raw shots yet.

Got some ideas for other nice photos with the car, when the weather clears up (absolutely chuckin it down today!). These places will be closer too, so the car will get a wash pre-shoot!

Very nice pics :D

Really like your car dude, the badge on the front grille is a small touch but makes a big impact on the looks. The wheels look ace too

Where is that? Looks like maybe a zoo entrance or something?

Its the entrance to one of Sir Anthony Bamfords Houses.

I live about 5 miles from the HQ of JCB so all his english houses are scattered about the area

If i drove about another 5 miles down the road just outside of alton Towers he has another HUGGGGGGE house the road passes directly between his house and all his warehouses full of his play things E.G. Trains, Fast Cars, Old Diggers.
