Down to earth list:

Cambelts & service.
Not so down to earth list:

Manifolds.
Sports cat.
Lowering springs.
Cams.
Remap.
New 18" alloys.
Up with the fairies list:

Throttle bodies.
Cambelt conversion.
Full ecu change.
Way beyond the fairies list:

RWD V8.
But I think it'll be happy with belts and a service for now :D

1). Look at it lovingly

2). Regret paying £8995 from MG High Wycombe in Dec 2008 as it is now worth half that if I'm lucky

3). Accept that I will have to keep it forever or take a big loss

4). Maybe refurb wheels

The future is not so bright!!!

I'd be happy with a new steering wheel and some red interior bulbs right now TBH. Will get the rally bumper back on after Christmas :)

I'm sure if you don't buy it in Dec 2008 you will be fine ;)

Now if you had bought one in Dec 2007 then it was alot of money indeed, but I'm sure you knew what you were buying seeing that there was no dealership support for that price? Like many we see something we like all sense goes out the window!

At the end of the day, are you happy with it? If so then what it cost and what it is worth doesn't matter. Mine was not cheap when first bought, but that was 3.5 years ago, today it is practically worthless, but I don't care as I love it to bits :D

Short list for me:

1. Enjoy
2. Get dent on rear door fixed - dickhead neighbour let van door swing open on it a few years ago
3. Consider having bonnet & front bumper sprayed in a year or two (due to stone chips)

Ooops meant 2007

I do really like it and I dont care about how much I paid for it, but with hind sight I wish I had bought something different (or an older one to avoid the tax sting)

Zippy Saloon

an older one to avoid the tax stingIf the govt manages to bring in the new tax bands, where people are being charged for a decision they made years ago, whats to stop them changing the cut-off date in future - a car thats "safe" now may not be in 2 years time.

Though TBH we should have car tax riots like the poll tax ones til they reverse the decision!

Item 8, is a technical Fix by MGR at the time, you need a suppressor fitted to cure the electrical gremlins.
