Overheating?????

Hi Guys

Having probs with my 03 plate 120zs mk.

I drove back home last night and noticed my temp gauge being higher as normal usually it stays just above half way but last night it as 3/4 way high.??? When i got out I did hear that both fans where turning, I also checked the water but thats fine too.

I hope this is nothing bad !!!!!!!!!!!! :((((((

Have you been loosing coolant? Check the oil cap for signs of a mayo like substance, could point towards head gasket failure.

Whats the mileage?
Think it has been known for water pumps to corrode and the impellor to become loose on shaft, resulting in coolant not being pumped around engine.
Worth giving the system a flush and maybe a new thermostat as a cheap and easy starting point.
My temp gauge has always sat abount a needles thickness lower than the midpoint mark.

Also, is the Cap holding pressure?
I had a high temp issue, and it was just a failed seal on the cap

Has the cambelt been changed yet? I would have replaced the water pump while doing the belt...
