there is a tidy sum to be made there. I hope the scrappy dont just throw it all away as he is a member on the mgzr site i doubt it.

Makes you wonder why X-part or Rimmer-bros havn't taken all those parts to release them to the public. Could have saved many Zeds being written off.

I would hope whoever is clearing the site and is a genuine member of our sister site will be able to store whatever they can with a view to making personal gain and also to contribute to the sites coffers?

In a previous club we all chipped in to purchase old tooling and spare parts to ensure the cars could be kept on the roads.

I like the sound of that.

Difficult to tell from the pics, but are they all ZR bits? I thought there were some bits for our beloved beauties

yeah zr bumpers, seats, doors.

and Mick this said person is a good member of the sister site and can only do what he can do. they check his lorry on the way out so he has to be extremly careful. his works wont let him have the stuff and if he was found to pinch it he'd get the sack.

That's a real shame, but not worth losing your job over.

I wasn't questioning their reputation, more a case of hoping that they had thought hard about what they were doing and the hopes of saving some of the items for its members.

I think its mostly ZT/75 stuff from what i can see. ZT-T mk2 rear bumpers, ZT/75 mk1 front bumpers, MK2 25 front bumpers? MK2 ZT/75 front bumpers.

If that happened il drive down to longbridge with the Montego estate "myself" and fill it up to the gunnels with things.

You've all missed your chance guys. Security is very tight now. Should of gone back in 2005 when there was no security. I know a few lads that were going in there night after night comming home with van loads of stuff at a time. They made a bloody mint lucky sods, They were having brand new engines away the lot and they wernt the only ones. Apparently they were always bumping into other looters walking round the place. Even general joe public were walking around taking a look walking there dogs e.t.c

From some of the stories i've heard from my family (6 of my family members worked at longbridge) even when the company was live as MG-R, parts and even whole cars used to go missing all the time. The site was just far to big to be constantly monitered by security.
