Just heard on the radio on five live on my way home from work that the government are in the middle of possibly scrapping the proposed VED rises as part of their plans to reduce taxes to fight the crap financial state. so watch this space

Thank god somebody else heard about this was starting to think i was hearing things which in may case ain't that uncommon
seen it on the news yesterday, GMTV had an interview with gordan brown about his plans for it.
lets see if he does something.

I hate Gordon Brown & David Cameron, none of them live in the real world. If they scrap the £400 a year road tax for bigger engines i may just have to go out and buy a zs 180 !!! ( petrol os 92.9 in birmingham now.....)

Yes, i'm hopeful that at the very least they will stabilise rather than the ridiculous prices some nutters are willing to give their cars away for !
Not that I plan to sell any time soon, but it would be great if the cars value went back up a bit :)
My tax is due at the end of the month... gonna get 12 months just to be safe!

I thought it was just me that had noticed it........ a really awful pause, suck in the bottom lip and inhale of breathe, not convinced he is human to be honest with you.:chop:

he is a bit of a wally to be honest. His face is just a mess when he talks... and those tiny eyes always look shifty like he's up to no good
I didn't vote for him anyway.... hang on, come to think of it no one did!
But on the plus side petrol is very almost back into the 80p bracket, taxes are set to fall and Caroline heard that VAT might be coming down too! Happy days

He's only got one good one, the other is glass! Shifty, you're not kidding! Never liked the bloke and I would never vote labour.

it is in the 80p bracket if you spend £50 in Tesco and get a 5p off voucher. ;)
VAT - that was on the BBC website yesterday or the day before. There was nothing final about it though.
