will a big cone filter in the wing give results as good as the bmc. i want the noise but dont have a lot to spend. where can i get the elbow that comes off the throttle body. i would prefere to have the one that the breather hose is built on.

All very similar in performance and yes, budget will dictate the type of installation. As for the integral breather pipe, that is an ITG version, expensive and has been made as a short run by someone over on XPF from another supplier. The pipes can be bought and like mine just add a small breather filter, some have 'teed' this into the run to the inner wing.

I have an itg open foam cone in my wing and have piped the system through with 76mm ali tubing. As stamford suggests, Ive then drilled out part of that ali tube to connect some hosing for the breather to tee it up.

For all the parts including filter, pipework, relavant hosing for breather, silcone connector hose and jubilee clips it came in at £160.

Hopefully that will give you some sort of budget comparison.

what size is the tb cant remember if it was 70 0r 76mm. does a cone filter need to be in the wing for best results or can i just take a cold air feed from there to the filter. obvisually if fitting a sealed induction kit it wont fit in the wing so the air feed needs to come from there

anything like this any good?

That will be okay for the money, a decent place to start from. Place the air feed within the inner wing up high in line with the lower edge of the headlight once the OE system and resonator have been removed. IIRC the TB will require a dia70mm elbow.

Yup.

I bought my gear from regals motorsport (they have a shop on ebay). I called them to order as apposed to online as I wanted to make sure I was getting the right bits.

I ordered

2 x 76mm diameter 90 deg ali pipes
1 x 76mm diameter 300mm straight ali pipe (with a t piece for breather)
1 x 76mm diameter 45 deg ali pipe
1 x 76mm 50cm silicone hose

Jubilee clips i got elsewhere and a length of hosing with a 19mm diameter for the breather of about a metre in length.

Some of the pipe needed cutting to length to get a perfect fit. The picture below is a guy from xpowerforums setup which ive copied over as i dont have any pictures of mine,

Your welcome to pop round and have a look at mine if you like
