Hi everyone! I am looking to buy a ZS and I have seen this one on ebay. It is only down the road fom me and it is the ideal colour with all the extras. How much do you think I should offer him for it, whats it worth? Any help would be appreciated.
Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2003-MG-ZS-120-ATOMIX-RED_W0QQitemZ130277237463QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomo biles_UK?hash=item130277237463&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A7%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

Thanks in advance for any help.

I thought it was a 180 at first, almost said about the cambelt change!

But yeah I wouldnt want to pay more than £2k for a 120. You could get a [higher milage] 180 for 2.5k!

So offer him £1800? I have seen ZS 180s for sale for as little as £1300 with about 80k on them but I cannot justify running a car that will only return 20mpg around town, dont get me wrong I would love one though.

a 120 and 180 are worth the same money. doesnt matter on the engine. makes no difference

Thanks guys for all the help. I have looked at the value on parkers and adjusted for mileage and options. It came out as being worth just over £2k. I have also looked at what else is on the market (autotrader, ebay and pistonheads) and nothing compares in terms of mileage, extras and condition. I offered him £1900 and we have come to a deal. I am going to view the car on Sat hopefully so all should be good. The other bonus is the car is only about 30 miles away so wont have to travel the length and bredth of the country to find one in the colour I want with all the options I want. I feel happy with the price so I will hopefully once again be a ZS owner.

Yeah thats probably true on average. Depends on the buyer, but yeah with tax rates atm the 180's value is suffering :( Smaller engines seem to be getting more popular...

£1900 sounds like a good buy mate, well done :) I managed to get my 180 about 20 miles from home too... had been trawling the internet for weeks and then bumped into one on my doorstep one day when food shopping! Couldnt believe my luck! :D

Pitch in low, it is a buyers market not a sellers one, remember that.

Its deffo worth more than £1500. Some of you are forgetting i sold my 02 plate 120 on a Cat D less than 6months ago for £1550 and that wasn't the mintest example around. I'd say its worth £2k all day long.

i just paid £3500 for my 180. it is unmarked with fsh, with 20,000 miles and a 2004 on a 53 plate if that helps anybody for a rough value

we at k&s coachworks bought 180 54 plate damaged for 2000, only 18,000 miles on clock,as stated buyers market, realy breaks down to how much you want the car to what you will pay

I have to agree with most, £2k for a non V6 Mk1 is over priced. You can get a decent Mk2 180 for not much more than that.

£1500 would be my top offer, even if it is mint

That seems a lot of money to me for a Mk 1......From a dealer I assume.

As for this one ... seems deal is done at £1900, and for such a new car ... good value IMHO.

yea from a dealer and yea proberly £1000 more than most. paid for the low milage and condition. it honestly looks like like a brand new car not a mark in sight even on the wheels. that price included a mot, service, warranty, 4 new tyres, and new front discs and pads. so not that bad

I picked the car up yesterday. The ebay pictures really dont do it justice. Im really happy with it and so much more refined than my zr which I had previously. Thanks again for all the help :)
