That is as best a figure and answer as you will get in all honesty. Due to the variation in rolling roads that is best guess and a comparative figure. The only guaranteed bhp claims are those reknowned ebay items ;)

ebay items. abit like them 20bhp resistor chips then

theyre an awesome peice of kit dont ya kno i have three on mine and its got about 300bhp now plus i got a max power induction kit for xmas i think that should at least see me iwth 500bhp

When i had my powerflow system fitted to mine it freed up about 9-10bhp well i think it did as when it was completley std it had 175 atf after the exhaust and induction it had about 193atf

Janspeed kits are damned expensive though IIRC

was your powerflow just a cat back. thats a very good gain. the janspeed cat back is £295 but not including fitting. what is the inner bore is it 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 inch

no it also has a decat too (passed the MOT last time no problem), Im not sure what the bore is im sure its 2 1/4 inch though

a cat back will get you next to nothing in the real world. Changing the manifolds and Cat are the only real ways for getting more power from the exhaust

the only other exhaust was on my rover 216 16v. i noticed a difference straight away

are the manifolds worth doing. heard a few times they offer very little gain and that they are very expensive

cat back will give you no gain at all ,however a de cat will add you a few horses.

what about the manifolds dave

The manifolds will improve the whole package, there are gains to be had there. At £330 they are a steal and are on my list for 2009.

Likewise. I think my mods for the START ;) of the year are going to have to be mannis and a quaife diff. Am also looking into getting a new set of wheels for the beast which will allow me to refurb the ones i have on at the moment and get some decent track tyres to fit to em.

so just to confirm all this what bhp gains are to be had with the manifolds, de-cat and cat/de-cat back. around 10-12bhp i would expect to see there. and a total of what, £700???

in my opinion the mani's make alot of difference, seems more willing, maybe it shifts the torque im not sure...but worth the money bud...they sound so raspy, gorgeous sound, hhmmmm :-P

i think between 185-195bhp would be a good figure to get from having "the full package" (including induction kits etc..) but of course it all depends on engine variance.....they are built to a fairly close tolerance....but technically speaking not all of them are going to be bang on 179bhp.....be less or more....so its hard to judge...in my opinion....fitting the full works to my car was worth every penny.....strongly recommended :)

what have you done. has your car been chipped? what difference does it make to acceleration. 0-60 ect. it must sharpen it up abit

190 bhp with full exhaust and induction is an honest number on a healthy zs 180 imo.
Manifolds are worth it now theyre so cheap imo.

Spot on, the induction system on a 180 is the most restrictive thing.
