I know it aint a zs but my sis showed me a mgf on ebay which i think is way over the book value. Just wanted to see if any of you guys agree lol its a 98 one 1.8 83k 2195 to much me thinks

Depends .... If it's had a few mods, leather, might have A/C and had recent cambelts ... could be worth £2K. Still top whack though IMHO, so it'd have to be mint. Time of year plays a part too. They tend to go up this time of year as people get ready to enjoy some decent weather.

it dont even have ac the only extra is the hard top

Looks tidy enough, full leather.

Never seen one with parking sensors though. Aftermarket and not colour matched so wouldn't fancy it myself. The hard top's worth about £300 - £400, and could be sold seperately in winter.

So, saying that ... if you got a warranty, and there was a good service history, including recent belts ... and got it for about £1850 .... No too bad really.

If you were interested, someone on .org may know of the car, as the reversing aid will have been discussed if the previous owner was a member, they may be able to shed some light on the history.

Try gauging it against others on the market with similar age and spec.:smart:

id say the same having had several mgfs and tf prob worth about £1800 with hard top that will def fetch 300-400 in seperate sale .
