Been searching the net for a budget oil catch tank, and came across this link:

http://khguan.fotopic.net/c976027.html

Basically it uses a plastic petrol filter with paper filter element inside to catch the oil, allowing the vapours back round to the inlet. Would this work on the 180?

I can buy this type of filter for under £3 and can easily replace it when full, rather than spending £30 on a alloy one and then finding somewhere to mount it.

Thoughts, comments, opinions please????

I would not be using that filter, it is designed for thin viscosity fluids like petrol, not thick oil, it will clog up and create a vacuum. Buy a decent catch tank as you will be surprised what gets caught in there over a few thousand miles.
