As i posted last week, my door handle snapped off, so did the repair i have seen on some other forums, but i can open my rear door now, tried everything and getting really peed off now.

Anybody got a sugestion on how i can get the door open.

Was hoping to keep this car, but getting more annoyed with it as things go wrong..

You can't open it using either inside or outside handle?

Just weld the rear doors shut and fit seats from a 2 door. problem solved and you'll have one of the longest coupes out there. lol

that thought had entered my mind.

Just going to fix the handle back on, force the doorcard on and leave it.

Then change the car in 3 months, got my eye on a zt cdti

What exactly isn't working mate? I've done a couple of handles on my ZS, what's not working?

what did you disconnect to take the door handle off

the window winder, inner door handle, and the rod that connects the outer door handle.

the mech all moves ok, just seems like the door is locked and you cant open it, the child lock isnt on and you can enable it from the outside through the hole thats there.

Did you remove the rod from the handle or from the mech

from the handle, but sorted it now, there was a stone jammed in the mech, bizzare how it got there, but after i forced it out, the door opened up uk, mush have been stopping the lock from operating, on a down side my repair was a bit poor on one side and isnt looking to healthy

At least it's opening up properly.
