:yoji:I have just acquired a set of Mark 2 alloys, just got to collect them!
They were a great price and I needed new tyres anyway and these have decent tread. All being well will collect them on Saturday and if the weather is good I will fit them along with the Rover 45 headlights I have tucked away. Anyway, Sunday evening may bring some new pictures for you all!

They have a little bit of damage / wear on the alloys but here are the pictures of the wheels.

That's the only thing I don't like about them, too easily kerbed, still nice rims though.

the 2 rears on mine are a combination of the 1st & 2nd pics... thinking about getting them refurbed soon. Possibly in white...

I am toying with the idea of refurbing them, possibly black...

not a fan of black wheels. Silver or white anyday!

Collected and fitted today. The tyres even have the little taggy bits from when they are new and some of the colour stipes still running around the tyres.
Very pleased with my bargains!

not sure if its just the pictures, but the n/s/f wheel looks as if it has excessive positive camber.

I see what you mean, will probably have to take wheels off tomorrow again and I will look into that. I thinking it may be the picture or the wheels not quite facing straight forward.

Were the pictures taken after the front was dropped of the jack? If so then it needs to be driven to settle the suspension back down.

if the wheel is buckled surley you would notice it when driving it

On another positive note the tyres are Pirelli P Zero Asimmetrico which look like they cost over £130 each. For the price I have paid for the wheels I think I have done well!

Yes they were. I also checked the pressures and have done them correctly now. Will still check again tomorrow.

In that case just take it up the road and back and then check the wheel position again, you'll find it'll be normal.

Another question - are Mark 2 alloys wider tham Mark 1 alloys? As the tyres are the same but I compared the sets and they were fatter.

I drove to the garage and put some air in but just been outside to check but my fronts are turned slightly and it's getting dark so can't tell properly.

no they are the same size. some put a 215 on a 205 wheel. this may be the case with yours. gives it a slightly wider look

The tyres are the same but I swear they are about one inch wider!

I do believe the mk2's are 7.5j as opposed to mk1's being 7j, so the tyres would look wider. I'd go for 215-40's later, a better fit on the rims than the OE 205/45. ET is also a couple of mm different to make them fill the arch extensions on the mk2.

I thought they looked fuller when on the car. I am a happy bunny!:mbounce:

is it a stainless steel back box. the mk2 one sticks out abit on a mk1. how is the de-boy-racering going. did you get hold of those vents?

Yes, along with a couple of other things for under the bonnet to be painted.

Lookin good! The mk2 rims seem to suit the mk1 Zed just as much as the mk2 :)
