Janspeed, Moto-Build, Piper, Scorpion etc, what's your plans? Get it de-catted, makes a massive difference to the sounds ;)

de cats have come up a lot lately it seems. is this purely a sound thing or do you get better performance too? would it be worth doing to a 120 or does it better suit the 180 engine?

go to www.ptp-ltd.co.uk and have a look

I doubt a 120 will benefit as it needs the back pressure. The 180 loves the extra breathing and makes a notable difference.

It needs back pressure? :o

in which case.. would a sports cat be a better option for the 120?

Hmm, will probably look into getting it de-catted, does this make a difference though on passing the mot?

No difference apparently... 2 people with them fitted have both passed the MOT lately.

my 180 is alot better below 3000 rpm. it picks up a lot better and revs better. made a noticable difference to the way it goes and sounds. the decat made the best difference on mine. didnt really notice any difference with the cat back untill it went on

Janspeed supply Xpower under licence, the only difference is the Xpower branding on the tailpipe ;)

You can just about see where it says Xpower along the side of my Janspeed one in the first picture Phate.

Here's what it sounds like, although it isn't raspy in real life just nice and throaty.

I didn't know it would have it on there until it arrived, it's a nice touch. I'd love the duplex system.

The x-power exhaust looks nice. I'm happy with my decision after seeing that and hearing it on youtube!
