Well thought i'd start up another progress thread on another of my salvage projects. This is the one that some of you may know i was going to break (ad in the for sale section) as it had engine mount damage which i thought was a scrap block. On closer inspection it was only the mount that was damaged so the block was fine. Only down side is where the weight of the engine has been hanging on the gearbox mount is cracked the gearbox casing. Luckily i've got hold of a cheap IB5 box off an 18k mile 05 plate ZR so this one will be getting fitted to mine.

Bodywork damage is very minor. Slam panel will straighten easy with just a small repair section i need to weld in. Bonnet and passenger side wing need replacing along with bumper, both headlights and both rads (coolant/aircon) Also i need to replace the altenator as that got damaged.

The only reason it was snapped off the engine mount is because it had shunted a land rover from behind. The landrover had a towbar fitted which went straight throught the frount bumper just to the right of the driver headlight, broke throught the slam panel (hence the repair section that i need to weld in) and hit directly on the drivers side mount snapping it and just clipping the altenator in the process.

Shouldnt be long before its back on the road. I'll keep progress going as i go along.

Pics from when i bought it...
