Hi all,

A basic (and noob) question I've always pondered but never asked - The 110/110+ isn't always listed when looking at mods (engine mods, styling or brakes/suspension etc) would this mean that I'm more restricted in what I can use or...can I use 120/180 parts anywhere, or can anyone point me in the direction of some sites that do list for the 110/110+

There was one site that seemed to do quite a few bits and pieces for the ZS but i can't remember their name just now. I'll post a link once i remember it.... :)

You think that mods for the 110 are hard to find.... try for the 180! :(

i find ptp quite usefull vor the 180 the 110 i would imagine you could use the 120/possibly even 160 parts wont be that much of a difference i wouldnt think

Does the 110 not have the same type of engine as the 120

What is it you have in mind mate? Depending on what it is, most 120 parts should fit.

I haven't done anything engine or lowering wise but would consider it for the right price. I know I won't get much gain out of an induction kit but a bit of a growl would be nice. Exhaust wise - my ZS' pipe is hidden at the rear, this I think also narrows my choice.

...but that link says suitable for all 1.8K series engines, mine is a 1.6?

Most engine mods that fit the 1.8 120 (and 1.4 105 in Ireland) will fit the 1.6 110, obvioulsy though things will be a bit different on the V6. Suspension will fit the lot though.

Induction, exhausts, springs, etc. for a 120 should fit the 110. 180 and 115TD springs are stiffer as the engines are heavier.

It's been said above really, but PTP are your best call for serious 1.6 modding. I would also imagine things which 1.4 ZR drivers tend to do will probably work on the 1.6 . Things like bigger throttle bodies and the like.

I contacted PTP a couple of months back they offer a conversion from 1600 to 1800cc with new cams RS140 it's called, here's the leaflet - it's not cheap but it is fitted and re-mapped...

Another thing, don't know if this applies to the mk2 110ZS but the mk1 did not have ZS suspension it was the same as the 45.

I fitted brand new ZS180 struts to my Rover 45 and it improved the handling no end along with new top arms, this changes the front castor (they are actually Rover 45 items swapped left to right an vice a versa), however the downside was it was very firm and you feel every imperfection in the road.

They are coming off the Rover, probably next week and will be for sale...
