How they assess them makes no sense to me at all. Could be a bargin for someone, I'd buy that for Gina but probably be hassle on insurance?

lol for the price of a rear cluster and an easy bumper fix they've written it off?

thats ridiculous, who ever claimed for that on insurance is a tw@t

Will have been a cat c due to the inside panel being slightly damaged, a new bumper, taillight, painting + fitting would be in excess of £400 from a body shop, never mind a rear panel.

They would probably want to fit a new bumper which will be hard to get hold off now and the claim also takes into account how long you may need a hire car etc!

to the insurance there is over £2000 worth of work there, my car wrote off cause they said over £6000 to fix mine, so far its cost me £250 for parts and then £500 to have it painted

Mine was almost a text book copy of the same damage. Thankfully my insurance company saw sense!

they price on genuine parts and high labour costs. they wont price on second hand or pattern parts. thats how they bump the cost up to write it off.
