Just having a think..........
I have a 2006 MK2 115+ ZS, its got 28,000 miles on its in good condition, slight scuff mark on the rear bumper were the previous owner must have ignored the reversing sensor's...lol a few stone chips as you would expect!!
How much do you think i could get for this, fancy getting something a bit faster....possibly a mk1 180!

Burning question is, does it have the 180 bodykit? as this would make a difference.
Otherwise have you given any thought on tuning it up?

That looks great fella, like Mick said....tune it some, a decent chip etc should give you extra ponies. (Cobalt business park?)

That's a beauty, I would honestly keep that and tune it up, you will get the best of everything there, looks, low tax, performance AND economy! Why go backwards to a mk1?

I didn't think you could get that much from tuning it I know peter has got his to about the 130bhp mark!

Don't discount 'just' 130, it's the torque that counts :D His ZS is no slouch, I would honestly think twice about this.

Talk to Rover_Ron over on .org. His avatar says he's from northumberland, so pretty local. He also has a thread, here's the link:

ha, yeah thats were the photos were taken mate.....I thought there was a car tuning place over there...lol
cheers for the link mate will have a look
Don't think I would change a mk2 to a mk1. Albeit the 180 is a faster car but styling and age wise you are going backwards.

Yeah I know what you mean, I just want a bit more power, might go down the tuning route just cant make me mind up.
What price do you think I could get for mine??

Have you considered NOS? Diesel engines are far stronger than petrol.
I'll swap you for a MK1 120?? :D:D
Seriously though my Diesel was quite quick :) had the 101 model, but with a bit of fettling and tuning got it to around 135.... and at points it was faster than a stock 180... (the 115 is faster in some real world situations anyway... thats why they didn't publish those times on the website for the 115!!!)
i will swop you for a mk1 180 saloon
