decat fitted and found something weird

went to get my janspeed decat fitted to complete the exhaust and the fitter said you do not have a cat anyway, took the pipe off and it is a steel piece of tube welded to the ends instead of the decat. picture below

question is why would anyone do a botch job like this ?

and another question anyone want a free cat replacement pipe? sure it will give a few extra horses

aye thats the one i took off replaced with a pukka janspeed stainless one, tbh didnt know that one was on or i wouldnt of bothered :)

That looks similar to my Janspeed stainless one did (maybe not quite so bad) when I swapped it over to my new 180 after being on the old car for about a year!

I think the grade of stainless they use isn't the best it definately isn't the same quality as my Piper exhaust!

no hanger it was just held in by the bolts

i dont think thats a botch job, somebody had just done this to save money. looks quite good to me, would be better if it had a hanger though
