It was very convincing as a r45, they have changed everything inside & out, the only thing that wasnt so ' Rover ' was the colour!!

MG-R really should have made a ZS-T!

Wouldn't have been that hard to make it, I mean the Civic Aerodeck is virtually the same length as the saloon (I wouldn't be surprised if they used an Aerodeck for the basis of the Saloon!)

Saw this silver one a few years ago, where the MG octagons were they had fitted Honda badges. Seemed to be really well done conversion iirc.

Think as part of the shared design Honda got the estate and Rover got the saloon.

^^^

Honda didn't really need the Saloon as they already had the Accord that more than made up for the missing Saloon!

MG-R got a good deal when they started sharing the platforms, there is a hell of a lot of technology there that they benefited from (double wishbone suspension, etc...)

EDIT: That would look so much nicer with the mk2 180 kit on it! :)

Think the rear windows are shocking though!

Think the rear windows are shocking though! Its like they had some glass cut for something else then thought "I know, this will do for the Aerodeck"

Looks better in dark colours simply to hide them a little.

But Rover had the "Accord" in the form of the 600

I guess so, but the 600 always struck me as being a soft cruiser, whereas the Accord is still quite raw, especially if you go for the Type-R...

And of course you've got the Legend, which I guess would equal the 600/800?
