View Full Version : Sound deadening the ZS

One of my jobs i set for the ZS over my summer break was to order a load of sound deadening material and cover the Zed in it to make the road noise much lower - as when i move into my new place i will have to drive on a stretch of motorway everyday which is where the road noise is too much!

So anyway, i am thinking of ordering this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Car-Sound-Deadening-10mx1m-Bulk-Roll-Dynamat-equivalent_W0QQitemZ370219155254QQcmdZViewItemQQpt ZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item5632c7 ff36&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A16%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C29 4%3A50

Will first off cover the entire boot (being a hatch this is where the worst of the noise comes from) then go over the front inner arches and possibly the firewall too. And then cover as much as possible if there is any material left (maybe doors, though not sure as i dont want to remove the door cards as im sure this will lead to a load of new rattles in doing so!)

Anyway, does anyone have any more advice for this as i want to do a good job of it and take the ZS up a few notches in terms of interior comfort and give it more of a luxury feel.

Thanks
