View Full Version : ZS180 timing belt lol

I just have to share this....... phones a dealer advertising a 52 reg ZS180 in yellow ( I want a yellow one) with 60.000 on the clock....... asked if the belts have been done, told no BUT he called his mechanic while I was on the phone and I heard all the convo lol....... his chappy quoted him £140.00 plus the belts to do it and yes I heard him say V6 :|:mbounce:

The guy has NO idea the amount of labour involved, quite simply :)

You say that but I had my old 180's belts done with new water pump and a service done aswell and only paid 272 quid!

Only thing is he couldn't stamp the book but he does give a full written reciept stating what he has done!

He is a qualified mechanic who is semi retired who just likes to keep his hand in really! also he used to work for Suffolk Police working on their cars so he knew the KV6 well!

I would have to ask the person I got his number from if he's still doing stuff as I said he was semi retired and looking to move abroad!

God thats cheap!! I got mine done just before Christmas on my ZS 180 and it cost me......£454!! Was kinda walking like John Wayne after that!!!
