Hope its ok to post in General as I thought it was more an opinion related thread than a technical one!

Right guys n gals, got my car booked into a renowned powerflow specialist in stafford on friday for a full system. Having the cat removed and a manifold back exhaust. I'm just uming and arring at the moment over the tail pipe and sound to go for. I've narrowed it down to two pipes, either the RW or the RAW 4" pipe (ones round and ones round/slash cut.

http://www.powerflowexhausts.co.uk/products/tail-pipes/

If you have a look there both 4 lines down.

What do you think would suit the ZS best? Personally I was going for the standard circular pipe but the slash cut is growing on me - having the powerflow logo showing at the top with the bottom of the pipe going into being nearly flush with the bumper.

The second thing is sound...I'm thinking I want it to be hardly noticeable below 2.5k so I can drive normally but I want something special after that when giving it some revs...just wether to have a raspy rally type sound (centre box off) or deep and bassy. Advantages to both I'm just not sure!

Love to hear peoples opinions on both! Cheers guys!

Me personally I prefer the RAW type, suits the lines and falls away. As for the noise, that is tough as everyone has their own preferences. Mine is deep and rasps at high revs, pops and bangs on overrun and sounds pretty good when hoofing it up the road! The decat will make the most noise in all of this.

Yea I think RAW one is really pulling me in at the moment!

Well I'd love for it to pop and bang but I've been told I could only have this with a set-up thats going to be loud pretty much all the time...and theres my problem. I dont mind the slight hum you get from a sporty performance exhaust but I dont want it too be too noticeable within the cabin until atleast 2.5k so should I chaueffer my nan around for instance she does'nt give me a right slap around the ear! lol

But aren't old people usually deaf? ;)

I wouldn't say mine was noisey all the time, only when pushing it, it can be quite sedate when driven smoothly. Have you checked out other members cars to gauge the sound you prefer?

Not had the pleasure unfortunatly, although I know alot of ZS owners have gone down the X-power route rather than the powerflow one.

I will have to have a long think....nope my nan would hear me coming amile off bless her!
