I'm not volunteering to organise us as a group, you just book the session you want and turn up, but perhaps post the fact that you've booked and if we collectively book one of the three sessions, it'd be a bit of a giggle.

I just fancy going along, and wondered if anyone else does. Last time out for me went a bit sour with the coolant issues in my ZT-T. And with a better suited car I'd get a bit more out of it..... :w00t:

Derv's go well on the track, great fun and all the ZS guys drive well, I only use 3rd & 4th gears once you get going.

I got a MAF box from Rover Ron but I dont know if it makes much differance, is it just the sensor??

Give it a go, if we both go the others wont be able to see throgh the smoke screen.:tease::tease::tease::tease:

I just went for the 1810 to allow travel to it from work and a bit of a watch and stand around before the briefings etc .... I'll be wearing a coat this time though ! I reckon 20 mins is enough for me ....and the car !

It's only 20 minutes mate and you need only push as hard as you feel comfortable. No-one there is gonna be doin flying laps .... Well except Pete maybe !

I can't push it at all, the second I even try and put my foot down the turbo makes a nasty sound so I pull back... That's what happens when a useless exhaust company (soon to be X-Part exhaust supplier) put a 57mm exhaust on a car that's suppose to have a 65mm!!!

I'm there Dan!!!!

We were up in the Lakes and driving roung Windamere, funny grunching noise from the brakes, thought grit had got under a pad, as I was supposed to have had new front disks and pads and rear pads fitted a year ago. Anyhow did some hard braking, reversed and braked, noise getting worse, so checked all the disks and the rear o/s was bu**ered.

Went into Kendal and found a National garage and got a price of £160 for rear disks and pads, got him down to £140.

At least I know the brakes are now OK for Brands, the rear o/s was rusted solid and only working on one pad, this had gone down to the metal!!!

I've got a set of front and rear pads in the garage ready to fit, doh!!!! :clap::clap::clap:

I'm rather annoyed as I've got a 180 brake setup, and some braided hoses ready to go on for Brands, but because of a stupid useless exhaust company (Klarius Ltd) I won't be able to make it :(

Had a great day, first one out behind the Megan that you have to follow for 3 laps, to get to know where to aim the car, he pulls off, so flat out along the pit straight, Dan hard on my boot, drop down the right hander, up the hill, change gear for the next nasty right hander and guess what-------my gear knob came flying off and dissapeared somewhere.

Now got to change gear with a stumpy little gear shift, still Dan and I had a good time, met up with Benny from X power in his ZT, think he has the bug now and already talking about booking up for the next one.

Best £25.00 you can spend.

Thought I had blown the turbo at one stage, going along the pit straight, thought this is funny not pulling well and went to change down for the trip down the hill when I found I was in 5th, I blame the stupid knob!!!

Try and get some pics up later. Knobs back on now as well.

Yep .... Seconded....

Had a great time ... Really good fun. Much warmer this time and I didn't break down. I was really happy with how my car went.

Pete and I agree that it's a great chance for us to actually see what our cars can do with the little mods etc and really give the cars a good (safe) legal thrashing. I hope we can get some more for the next time.

Those of you with a diesel really need to look at what Pete's done. It seems to go really well. I was really surprised. I reckon mine's faster, but there really ain't a lot in it, and he was probably doing 50 odd to the gallon whereas I could see my fuel guage dropping in front of my eyes !

Exactly my point ... It's a great chance to see what the true differences are in the cars.

Out of the factory, my 180 would have wiped the floor with Pete's diesel. Now though, after he tinkered they are much closer.

Yours too .... with your bits and bobs, and mine being as it was apart from a rear box which will add nothing, it'd be really interesting, although I reckon you'd be pushing yours a bit harder through the bends !

I'm a little miffed by the repeated comments about the differences between a derv and 180.. There is only .6 of a second difference 30-50 and 50-70, which in the grand scheme of things isn't that much!

I mean Pete is probably pushing 140bhp and 240lb-ft with his modifications, that extra 60lb-ft between the two will make a huge difference!

Will deffo make the next one, even if it kills the car... We will show you some serious derv power, eh Pete?

I think the derv almost holds its own, I wasnt going into the bends too fast (saving the brakes and tyres for my MOT that was the following day! Passed.) which means you lose a bit of speed on the exit. Along the straights it pulls well but the extra hp shows.

Would have loved to have seen two dervs out there, maybe next time, Will will.???

Great fun, best £25 I've spent for a long time, (and that was at Brands)
