I wondered how long it would take for someone to offer! I was considering that myself, the only negative being the blanking plate. Ideally this needs to be either supplied as a whole or the board comes complete with LEDs just leaving the 'customer' to drill the holes for the LEDs etc.

One downside I can see is drilling the holes, if central to the blanking plug, the rib inside tends to kick the drill bit over if not careful. Enough to look crap and out of line.

I may supply the blanking plates, so that isn't an issue!, it is just the cabling to the engine that may be a problem.

Yes, best way Kev. The engine cabling is the stumbling block, might have to be Scotchlocks? Some don't like soldering irons! There is a shorter route for the cabling, as mentioned in my thread, under the water top up tank.

I'm just trying to source the bits to make it a completely Plug 'n' Play kit, so I may be a week or so, I really don't know yet!
I don't even have a ballpark figure yet on how much it will cost.

Kev, can I have one too :)

Question.. will there be a "Manual" included in the kit? So you can easily reference what the lights mean as when your in the car you don't normally have net access!

Good good, kev are you needign any of the blanking plates, as i have one spare, and then when i buy a kit off you ( presume they come with a blanking plate, predrilled etc) i'll have a spare one from my zs

KevG
08-02-08, 06:33 PM
Good Point Andrew, If folk would post the spare blank back to me them I'll have enough to re-use them as VIS indicators.

The blanks are mounted with LED's.

Thanks Kev, it was that messege that prompted me to look out this thread, I've only been a ZED-ESSer for a couple of weeks and forum user for even less so I hadn't come accross this thread before.

The kit looks really neat and would suit my dash so if there is a kit going spare I'd love to buy one.

James

P.S sorry to read in the other thread that you've not been well.
