Nane wi headlamp powerwash, there wis 400's wi fogs but dinna think any of the 45's had em?!!?

no, easy enough to get though, all but one had the auto switches. Is there a difference between switches wi auto on them an those without then?? wasn't sure but like said loads had them auto switches so easy enough to get all the bits needed:)

If you make me an offer, I may part company with them!

You dont need the Window lift ECU, as your car will already have it, but with the Mk2 they have it built into the BCU, so it is a matter of replacing the switch.

With the auto switch you push down to go down, push a bit hrder and there is a click which activates the auto function.

I got a spare out of a late 400 which fits and works in my early 180.

I guess the non auto switch plugs into the loom as it comes into the door where as the auto switch plugs in to the auto control unit which plugs into the door loom.

Charlie Trents biggest in Bournemouth, years ago could go in there and pull bits off yourself. Fun climbing up 3 cars to reach the one on top, then the crane would come and start lifting the car on the next stack. Had to wave, shout, scream until you got the crane drivers attention.

Then it went off the shelf only.

Went in the other day for a bit for the Punto, had to pay a ?1 to get in. Had a few Rovers, mainly older ones, no ZS's or ZR's.

Got the Punto bit and the guy said the ?1 entrance covered the cost.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

There are a couple of breakers round the country (Roverbreakers.com for one) that buy up every scrap MG or Rover they can find no matter where it is... which leaves local scrappies without.

I used to live in scrapys. There was 3 near me, the old style pile em up high ones. You went in with ya toolkit and gave the bloke in the office a few bob........One thing, why was the car you wanted always the one at the bottom of a very unstable heap?:yikes:
