Ive had this for a while now. I thought it was an electrical burning smell, but my dad reckons its more like burning rubber. Only seems to appear on hills/slopes though!

Would that smell of rubber though?
anything round the exhaust?hitting the exhaust when your going up hill such as a wire?

not loose wiring on the hego then, sure your not smoking your tyres going up hills:P you havent got any new speakers fitted or an induction kit with a silicone tube perhaps? you can get quite a lot of smell off new silicone rubber somtimes, other than that dunno unless i could look at it, check theres nothin touching the heater matrix or anything

Induction kit was installed in March so dont think its that.
I fitted a sub around the time of the smell but cant see how the smell would be coming from the front!?
Heated Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor / lambda sensor, just incase the wire wasnt connected in right, well make sure your wiring to your sub isnt chaffing anywhere and the fuse is okay

Also, do you mean the fuse in the sub or the car?
like the one next to the battery, some one had one go on fire on here the other day, i think it might have been jay

Mines properly installed lol wasn't mine :tease: was simon think it shorted out and caught fire!!

Did about 60 miles last night with sub on full and no smells at all!
Hopefully it was just a bit of dirt or something thats now dropped off!
