It would help to have your car(s) in your avitar so we don't need to ask which one it is for.

The ones off ebay work great. Easy to fit too. I paid £15 for ours.

lol I was kidding have all the kit to do it just wondered about the wiring, assume theres nothing there on the mk1s, Think I might look into it as the new flat has off road parking... ( for a KA maybe) the zed hangs onto the pavement unless touching the wall! lol

These are really easy to wire and fit.

Remove bumper! Mk2 are marked on the inside where to cut, Mk1 you will have to use your own judgment.

Wiring is simple! position the control box in the boot either to the left or right behind carpet. The red wire taps into the reverse light and the black to an earth then you plug this in to the control box. Then fit the sensors to the bumper and feed through a grommet at the back of boot (lift bumper into position at same time) and plug into control box. Finally plug in the bleeper to the control box and position appropriately.

Attach bumper and test: Job done.:smartass:

BMW PDC controller, same as the Rover unit on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/bmw-rear-parking-pdc-control-box-parking-sensor-ecu_W0QQitemZ220474332102QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Car sParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item33554b53c6&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14)

3 amp 2-way block connectors are more secure.

Any type of connector that looks like a "bodge job" is no use in a car, if you were going to splice wires then heatshrink, insulating tape, soldering iron and solder are always the best way to go.

Scotchlocks (Blue 3M type)
Chocolate Block (terminal strip), should never be used in a car.
