After 6 years of MG ownership, I have defected! I swapped my 180 for a Honda. Just picked it up today. Farewell ZS, you did me proud.

Its a 99 Prelude 2.2 vtec Montegi special edition with a sports auto box, a la tiptronic(esque)

Almost the exact same colour as the ZS!

As much as I loved the ZS, I was growing bored with it. I fancied an Impreza, but inded up with the 'lude. Im very pleased with it apart from the rank "wood" inserts.

Its very similar to the zs. Handles almost the same. Its even got the some of the same switches lol. I have to admit, it seems better built than the zs even though its 3 years older. The vtec noise is superb. I may return to the MG fold in the not to distant future though :P

So what version did you get the 185PS or 200PS version and is it 2 or 4 wheel steering?

Enjoy!!

i had a 4ws 2.2 one of them for a bit earlier this year, not the tiptronic though, full manual. i think the tiptronic is nearly a second slower which is a shame yet your box is much desired for a nice relaxing cruise :) the motegi is the one to get as it comes with the nice bodykit. nice move mate, i do love them preludes :) hope it serves you well

There are a heck of a lot of things that can be done to these, having owned a jap spec one myself before the ZS :)

http://wpjw.co.uk/images/mycar_prelude/preludesmall.jpg <-- God I miss that thing! :(

Power-fold mirrors and wind deflectors are a must, followed very closely by the CF interior panels as the wood trim is just shocking!!! :(

If you need a hand on anything, feel free to PM me (I have a full copy of the Honda EPC if you need parts), and register here: http://preludeuk.co.uk

Depends if it's a red or black top, I should imagine being a 99 that it'll be a red top (197 I believe)... And it looks to be a 2WS jobby (unless you've got the 4WS light up on the dash and it's stopped working - you will get used to this!)

Car looks good but I prefer my ZS, my brother in law had one a few years ago and I looked after it for a couple of weeks and yeah, it was nice having the option of tiptronic and yeah it was nice having vtec but I still prefer my 180.

Anyway it's not my car so enjoy.........

It actually feels really natural when you're sitting in it... Remember it's quite a lot lower than a ZS and you sit lower to the floor too so it's just right :)

Awesome cars had one over summer a few year back. Was silly quick for a big car. Drove beautifully too.
