lol not liking that back box is that of a zr160 and i think you should fibre glass your spare wheel housing and make a better box that will up the bass and also make it air type other than that im loving it

its just a finnisher:D its just till i get round to the full system:) the spare wheels still underneth it so it was more practical that way:) i had a big double 12 inch inclosure behind the back seat, but it just took up a bit too much space, got the idea from a mazda 6:D what exhaust end do you think i should get?

Maxfly
22-09-09, 08:56 PM
i agree about the exhaust, don't sit quite right imo an the MG badge on rear lloks a tad lost tbh but other than that looking mighty fine:D

Generally I like the car
except the yellow badges, the wrong engine, the poor location for the airfilter and the unfinished sub.

Keep up the good work.

Very nice mate, not so sure on the tailpipe. As for the boot item..............not into such things as they add weight ;)

StragglaSteve
23-09-09, 10:46 AM
i would go for a 3.5" slash cut or inward rolled tailpipe
get a heat shield for your air filter.. or a nice carbon fiber closed box

nobody will see the sub! so nice work there, very stealthy under the carpet ;) and practicle too!

remove the rear badge

and your car would be perfect!

thanks for the comments guys:D i was thinmkin of ways to make the sub look better, but keep the spare wheel where it still, so ive thought about it today and come up with a few ideas so shall post the pics up once i get round to it:) i think the full exhaust sytem shall be gettin done early next year me thinks so shall look at diff tail pipes then:D, dont want a noisy one:D n the air filter i know lol, but i liike the noise of the open filter! so i just put a cold air feed for now, once the stainless sytem is on i might get an enclosed one, n the wheels i sprayed myself(with the tyres off) n its called moondust its a vauxhall colour, get them powdercoated as soon as i can afford it!:D cheers guys:d least i wasnt getting an "OMG ITS HIDEOUS " comments like the poor laguna guy lol:D

I agree about the subs, too much weight for my liking. as for the car i like it very much. Nice colour, nice wheels and nice engine bay. Defo need to route that cone filter nearer to the edge of the front bumper tho.

well a few months have elapsed in my last post, but ive taken the crytisism constructivley n changed a few bits, the parts people didnt like where, the off grey coloured wheels, redone titanium now, yellow badges, changed friday for brand new genuine items front back and new zs badge, sorry about the dark picture, tailpipe, changed for a xpower backbox, sub still needs a little tidy up to make it perfect ehm, few bits still want done as well, i need an opinion on my kickplates what do people think?

i was soo lucky with the kickplates, ehm...some turned up cough at work somehow magically , i had rover ones originally id wrapped in black vinyl but the plain ones turned up so thought some domed badges would look good, been looking at the new mazda illuminated ones, n deciding how hard it would be to manufacture say.. zs or xpower ones, basically need a plate cut with a cnc cut out in the middle n a flat LED, n cut out a square in the plate n fit it in, probably never do it:P

I like the dark coloured gills, I wasn't sure when you first did them but they look good, I also like your headlight washers, there's nothing that I dislike.

I think you could use some Team Heko wind deflectors.
It looks as though there's no gap between the tailpipe and the heatshield, which makes me wonder if it vibrates.
Oh and I don't think as someone previously said that you have the wrong engine - but I DO think that you are technically adept enough to VVC the one you have (assuming it's a 1.8).
I wonder (although I'm not sure) if the front bumper below the number-plate would look good covered in black vinyl or sprayed black.
And lastly, I'd like to see a few pics of the interior.

re current exhaust, its a mk1 exhaust and ive put a finnisher on to bring up in like with the bumper, unfortunatlly still doesnt fit right so that nother thing on the list, a decent mk2 backbox, although its not vibratey, interior is grey monaco with black cloth, not got any pics unfortunatle:/ try get some tomorrow at the show

WalkerDnB
14-07-12, 09:58 PM
looks awesome :D .makes me wish Id have gone for a mk2
Only thing you could do is lower it.
Making it vvc is a nice idea
I think a vvc would make it more unique rather than just another V6.

Havent seen your car since the respray mate but from the pictures it look's fantastic
Loads of nice unique things with your car that I like are BMW interior lights & pop up headlight washers.
Really struggling for something to nit pick at so can only suggest to change the Exhaust pipe for a proper backbox.
Since the respray this really has to be one of the best 110 cars out there.
A credit to you.
