After owning the ZS for nearly two years, with much regret, i'm selling due to a new car coming soon.

My car is located just south of Glasgow, in Motherwell. It is a red 54 plate 1.6 110 saloon which was first registered in December 2004 with 3 previous local owners. It has 44250 on the clock today, but will increase slightly as I am using the vehicle every day for commuting to work.

Car has its last two MOT's and passed without any advisories.
Car had oil/filter change at
7945 miles 08/08/05 Arnold Clark
16025 - 08/11/06 Arnold Clark
23916 - 15/11/07 Ray Barret Rutherglen (Including coolant change)
32627 16/10/08 Brownsburn Garage, Airdrie
43950 - 28/10/09 Kwik-Fit Hamilton (Mobil Super S)

Tax until end of April 2010, MOT until 10/12/09.

Full 180 bodykit with high level spoiler, the car has never been thrashed, and i've covered nearly 20,000 trouble free motorway miles in car.
I usually put redex in car 5,000 thousand miles, and the majority of miles are on the motorway.

Tyres :
Fronts : Brand new Toyo Proxes T1R's will be fitted before sale
OSR : Maxxis with 5-5-4mm
NSR : Toyo T1R which has 6-7-6mm tread.

Car has shown no signs of head gasket failure, no mayo, the car runs at a good temperature, and car has never used coolant.
Brakes are spot on, and I had them checked last month and still have plenty life in the pads.
The middle section and backbox was replaced with a standard ZS exhaust, which has over 2 years warrantly remaining with Kwik-Fit.
The car also has a Sebel air horn. the original was replaced as it common fault with water getting to MK2 horns.

Philips bright bulbs (nice upgrade from original).

HPI free. The car drives in a straight line, and also when braking.

The bodywork is free of any dents/car park dings/scratches

Inside is in great condition, the car has never been smoked in. The carpets have never been stood on, and are like new.
Car also has rare official rubber MG mats.
The rear seats look brand new and I have never had anyone sat in the back.
The car also benefits from a Motorola Bluetooth handsfree and a Bension iPod dock.

Car was machine polished last spring.

BAD BITS :

Car has stonechips to front, and also inner rear wheel arches, which is not really noticeable.

Drivers bolster has cracked due to cheap Vinyl "leather". I was quoted £60 for a new bolster.

Sideskirt has a crack in roughly and inch long under the skirt which isn't noticeable either.

Thanks Dan1971!

I'm getting a Nissan 350z with the full GT pack.

A swap isn't something that i'm interested in at the moment mate, however, I will be keeping my eye open for a 180 later on next year. So I might give you a shout if you are selling it. :)

Quick question.

A guy came up from Newcastle to see it on saturday, and put a £200 deposit down. I made him well aware when he was buying it, that i'd have to wait for my new V5/MOT certificate to come back from the DVLA, as i'm putting my private plate on retention. According to the DVLA, it can take up to 7 days to get my papers through the post.

However, the last two days he has been on the phone to me numerous times saying he has spoke to the dvla and they have advised him it is fine for him to take my car away with the private plates on it.

I don't think it sounds right?

Cheers.

If I were you, I'd wait.

However, there is no reason why he can't take it as the paperwork for the retention and the authorisation to get the new plates made up will all be sent to you. You'll have the money and the paperwork so you'll be fine. The onus will be on the buyer to change the plates from your private one, to the date plate when you notify him.

Cheers Dan. This has turned into a real pain. The DVLA say it can take up to 10-14 days for my new MOT cert, and tax disc to come through. But can take up to 6 weeks for my V5 to come through? They say I cannot sell the car until I get the v5 through, as I risk losing the plate, and any fines the new driver may pick up, I will be held liable to cover the costs. Lazy ******* bast*rds!!!! £105 just to change documents, and they take 6 weeks to do so??? Looks like i'm going to have to give this guy his deposit back.

I'm absolutely skint having two cars sitting outside my house, paying insurance on both. I've paid admiral near £2k in insurance for my 350z due to their **** up which would take me ages to get into. And its going to take them 10 days to give me the funds back, and i'm going to Birmingham this weekend for a weekend break with my girlfriend to top things off.

Not happy... :(

Thats where I went Kev, it cost me £105 to put the registration on retention, and now i'm waiting for my documents to come through the post.

V5 normally takes a while but if you go the the local DVLA office you normally get the new MOT ad tax disk instantly as my mate did when we did his car

Got the V5 in the post today, so the gent is coming up from Newcastle to collect today. I'm gonna miss the car!! :(

EDIT : Sold, and the new owner drove away in it on wednesday night.

I was gutted as it drove away, I had spent so many hours cleaning that car!! :'(
