Trouble is I go on holiday on Friday afternoon until the next Friday, so I ca only work on it now tomorrow night and Friday morning!

However....tonight managed to get the hubs out, albeit one with the driveshaft still attached. Dad is going to press out the studs tomorrow and press the new ones in in preparation for putting it all back together tomorrow night....fingers crossed.

BRMFUN 08-04-15 08:21 PM

Nothing for a man of your caliber, fingers crossed mate :)

adam 09-04-15 10:29 AM

Teeheehee....

adam 09-04-15 07:07 PM

So near yet so far! New hub studs are 12.5mm but have 14mm splines, ugh, splines stick out through hub by 2mm so now need to drill the bells out to 14.5mm. Hassle! Lol!!

BRMFUN 09-04-15 08:49 PM

Just go back to standard ;)

adam 09-04-15 09:01 PM

Now where's the fun in that?!

adam 11-04-15 02:31 PM

All finished yesterday, whoop!

GalleyZS 19-04-15 07:11 PM

Had a nose around your car yesterday but a tool kit seemed to be out at the time so I didn't want to interrupt. Looked (looks) great though interesting to seem the modification in the flesh also.

adam 19-04-15 07:33 PM

You should've said hello, I was only fitting the front strut brace at the time, lol.

GalleyZS 19-04-15 08:16 PM

Haha fair enough.

Maxfly 19-04-15 09:33 PM

Fairly progressed with her all round, a grand job being done of it too.

adam 20-04-15 11:02 AM

Yeah, she's come a long way!

petet16 20-04-15 11:07 AM

I still miss the Purple

Still has purple rear callipers and purple patches under the bonnet. Which reminds me, where to buy lime green paint :D

Skillen 20-04-15 03:14 PM

Swap the rears at saloon day with me?

GalleyZS 20-04-15 04:47 PM

Just wondering, have you had any clearance issues with the dark ice coolant cap cover?

petet16 20-04-15 05:00 PM

Dark Ice are doing a recall on the expansion tank caps

adam 20-04-15 05:41 PM

I didn't notice any marks on the cap when I was under the bonnet yesterday....but I did say on the way home that the bonnet looked slightly raised in that corner. Probably bent it all out of shape shutting it

Not sure if I'm going to that.

talkingcars 20-04-15 07:49 PM

Does it have rear discs?
Bet they are the smaller ones so I would say yes to Skillin.

adam 20-04-15 07:56 PM

Yup rear discs but I'm not overly bothered about the size of them, ive gone overkill on the front brakes now so stopping is not a problem :D
