well done,great effort there,looking great

Been having a weird feeling in the clutch pedal , I can feel a vibration and also when putting the clutch down it feels like a bendy straw ( bit you pull up and down ) .. only way I can describe it.

Also getting a crunch in 3rd gear but it depends on how hard I'm pushing the car..

It's got a brand new clutch , release bearing and new slave cylinder

peterzs 11-04-14 11:27 AM

bled it OK.

Jason04r 11-04-14 11:50 AM

Thought these are sealed units , hence not being able to bleed them ?

petet16 11-04-14 11:52 AM

Did you also replace the slave cylinder mounting bracket ?.

Jason04r 11-04-14 11:54 AM

Yea went for the land rover as it's spose to be stronger

How about the clutch operating arm, did you clean and grease it when you fitted the clutch.

Jason04r 11-04-14 12:06 PM

Didn't :(

It's been okay till this week and it's starting to annoy be a little. Drop the box I guess to access the arm?

petet16 11-04-14 12:13 PM

Ah boo, yeah, it's a box off job.

Another possibility is that a little bit of air might have got into the system when you connected the quick release coupling, something that might work is to block the clutch pedal down over night, this allows any air that might be trapped to work its way out through the master cylinder, it's a bit hit and miss wether it'll work but I've done it for brakes before and had a good result.

Jason04r 11-04-14 12:16 PM

I'll give it a bash , could of been a chance that when the save popped it could of sucked a little air from the master cylinder..

Start the other side tomorrow ..Need some tyre polish now haha

Tyre slick will set it off nicely! the black makes tyres look worn now.

Also white Wheel nuts!!!

Jason04r 03-07-14 07:57 PM

Doesn't look so fresh now , brake dust etc but that's with dirty tyres after sanding etc

Thought I'd update on my accident , light damage to the grill and bumper . Off the try and match the colour as there's no code.

Lukeus101 03-07-14 09:07 PM

Could have been a lot worse mate, hope you get a good match :)

Been awhile since I've posted. Cars running great , added a few items such as janspeed duplex exhaust , few polybush bushes.

Lukeus101 16-08-15 11:17 AM

After 4 years of ups and downs and learning alot - the time has come to say goodbye to the MG.

Replacing her will be newly purchased BMW E60 530i 2007 LCI :)

I'd like to say a big thanks to all over the years , hopefully the next owner will take care of her like i have.

talkingcars 30-09-17 05:29 PM

Going for luxury?

Jason04r 01-10-17 06:33 PM
