Yes, Mk2's aren't fully OBDII compliant. You need a Sykes Pickavant or a Rover TU4 to eliminate some of the codes. I have been able to reset a few with my ELM327, but not all.
ANY warning light that won't go out on your dashboard means instant fail these days, so best to avoid lighting 'em up in the first place!

Iv got an ELM327 but I aint a clue how to use it! :laugh: Not really studied it really..

warning lights other than ABS are still an advisory but we have been informed it will definately become a fail in the future. It was supposed to be March this year but they have delayed it for a while. No news as yet as to exactly when it will become a fail.

We invested in a SnapOn Solus to ensure we can diagnose as many as possible....doesn't do Mazda or Chrysler though for some strange reason but does do MG/Rover. £25 for a plug in....free for supporters on here.

At work I have a Snap On Verus to play with, what a beast machine that is lol..

A few grands worth though so I never play with it for long, always scared im gunna drop it :laugh:
