manifold ports now.

if you can lengthen the primaries you may see some gains too.

ShireRoller 31-03-15 07:37 PM

I will just be sticking with the standard primarys for now, limited to the tools I have right now as far as big bends are concerned. No 180 degree collector an precat though, need to do some maths to work out the right unequal length. Im sure anything will be better than that origional collector!

ShireRoller 31-03-15 07:40 PM

Secondarys will be longer though, may help a little! 2.25 secondarys into 2.25" Y piece to a 2.5" single box system that I have made

ShireRoller 31-03-15 07:56 PM

So, As primarys will remain relatively equal length. An the secondarys will be joining quite far back, I cant see it robbing power only making more as it flows much better.
I guess im just looking for a little feedback on design!

just done a little math..
primary and secondary pipe length should be around

At 6000rpm 29.5"
At 5000rpm 36.1"
At 4500rpm 40.4"
At 4000rpm 45.8"
At 3000rpm 62.1"
At 2000rpm 94.7"

I will measure primary length of standard manifold tomorrow when I get to the garage.
Also found a nice 2,25" 180 bend on a nice radius that should fit so I will be able to stay equal length after all!

Have the mockup manifolds done after alot of trimming measuring adjusting 1000 times over.
Finally have them both equal length at 33.5" so if my maths is right should help peak power!
Original primary and secondary length was around 25" so that would make its peak power somewhere over 7000rpm!!!

heres a few pics. Need to order a few bits of pipe a start welding!
Also when Y pipe it connected to secondarys,It should properly line up with the center section!
