It doesnt have an intercooler so thats out.
The MAF plug has a green wire that seems to have been cut at the block but there is no green cable in the loom coming from it. The van goes well with the new MAF .....well as well as a shed with 90 ponies can! Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk |
Have you checked tyre pressures?

Is the turbo kicking in properly? Check that little vac actuated turbo solenoid?
|
It seems to be.....its pretty dead up to 2100 rpm then the turbo kicks in. Before changing the MAF it was pretty much dead throughout the rev range!

Had a look to see if other people were getting the mpg, found this.

Thanks peter.....was getting high 40's a few months ago so not accepting 35. Just stopped at Halfords Stirling and fitted new air filter, everything reset so 300 miles North and we will see what we get!

Well 99 miles on and the air filter has made little difference. Its been slow with several lorries so my average speed has been 52mph with cruise control on pretty much all the time. What I have noticed is that if I stay under 2100 rpm then mpg is alway above 50 and mostly in the 60's. Go above this rpm and the mpg is down to the 30's so my average mpg is 40.9. Im thinking turbo now as this is whrn it kicks in. Even though it doesnt have an intercooler im guessing it has turbo hoses? If one was split it would put less air in and more fuel?
