The horn on my car has died, but it isn't the factory one it is the secondary Hi tone horn from a 420 that is intermittent, even though the factory horns were crap and failed mine is still going after 7 years!!!

not the sounder that does the horn,
the horn sits behind the front bumper and the original horn was pretty poor,
first thing id do is check the fuse, if its okay go to the horn

remove it and try power it off the battery, if you **** your pants when you touch the wires onto the battery then horns not the problem, if nothing need a new horn,

if horns okay check for power at the connector for the horn, test lamp and someone pressing the horn,

Cheers ritchy - will have a butchers at the fuse tomorrow. i take it the fuse only looks after the horn, nothing else ?
