It was a quick glance Pete, but just an example of a mk2 pricing. Mine was £1600 with higher mileage but no damage and several mods! And that was a year ago.

The track car is similar to butch's and I bought that a year ago with less miles same spec for £750. I'd say £1500-£2000 for a mk1 would be way overpriced.

This is all in my opinion though, a car is worth what someone is willing to pay.

Sorry, I was taking it a bit ot there, but as you say decent mk1's are going for sub 1k.

And some people wonder why more are broken for spares than sold!

If I only got offered that when I try to sell it will sit on the drive doing nothing!

And then someone would come along and pay even less for it down the line.

Sadly the cars are now getting old. The newest zs is still 7 years old. Mk1's are worth very little. The cost of repairs to them make them uneconomical to run. Brakes are awful for seizing up, more so due to the age of them. A full set of discs and pads with 1 calliper on a 180, would write it off.
