Yes, Mk2's aren't fully OBDII compliant. You need a Sykes Pickavant or a Rover TU4 to eliminate some of the codes. I have been able to reset a few with my ELM327, but not all.

warning lights other than ABS are still an advisory but we have been informed it will definately become a fail in the future. It was supposed to be March this year but they have delayed it for a while. No news as yet as to exactly when it will become a fail.
We invested in a SnapOn Solus to ensure we can diagnose as many as possible....doesn't do Mazda or Chrysler though for some strange reason but does do MG/Rover. £25 for a plug in....free for supporters on here. |
