i wish i could have afforded to keep it at the time but buying a new car i just couldnt do it. wish i hadnt seen it now

At the end of the day, it is just a car, a big hunk of metal that gets somebody from A to B, 90% of the population don't care about car care.

My neighbour said to me one Sunday when I was washing my car in the driveway, "Are you trying to make it grow!, every time I see you that car is always being washed", I have seen him wash a car it consists of a hose with a brush on the end, no soap, no bucket!

I agree that it's nice to keep a clean car and good maintenance/service can prevent more costly repair bills, and I love the way my ZS looks and drives but got go with what Kev says, it's just a machine.

Its a "machine" to most people who just throw a bucket of water over it now and again, but to us saddo's( ) who spend hours washing and polishing, its our pride and joy! ;)

I could understand that Adam, if I sold mine and saw it in a state I'd be devastated.

I have regretted selling all my cars including those which had no real life left in them namely my Ford Fiesta which was the last vehicle my Grandad owned before he died way back when I was still at school........and more recently my LDV Pilot van which was 'rusty but trusty' a true friend I could rely on when I needed to get places in a hurry or no matter what the terrain.

My ZS is an amazing car which I would hate to give up even if she does make me pissed off when simple things break or stop working and it turns into a mission to fix or replace the said part.

If I were you I would do something stupid and leave a note under the windscreen saying you have cash waiting to get your baby back. I'm sure it wouldn't take much money and time to get it back into its former glory.
