I saw them advertising it in a fiesta.

With Ford SYNC you can select a music track from USB or MP3/IPOD, or stream it from your mobile via Bluetooth connectivity. The system enables you to make and receive calls using simple voice commands. Additionally, SYNC even reads your text messages aloud, and responds by using pre selected commands, enabling you to stay connected to friends and family while on the move.

i am convinced its not just the normal phone features that distract em, I think Lots of peopel are stupid enough to face book and twitter whilst driving.

Its almost like an addiction, the kids, grand kids, cant leave the phones alone for five minutes.

Even when you are talking to them, they sit there looking, or texting on their phones.

Trouble is they expect every one else to live with a phone plugged into their neck.

I have a Parrot?? thing in the TF, easy to use and least you keep your hands and eyes on the things they should be doing. In the ZS, I either give the phone to the wife, or dont bother with it till I have stopped.

But then I'm of the older generation, we never had a phone at home, had to use a phone box. Maybe thats why we dont hear a mobile phone ring, as a matter of life or death. Most of the kids texts are, "in MaccyD's", "at the Pics", etc.

Pity they cant devise a jammer, that cuts the signal in a car, if the ignition is switched on.!!!

I have two phones, personal and works, I ignore both when driving. The only time I use it when driving is in handsfree mode if stuck in traffic and stationary. I never use it whilst driving, too distracting. The law on their use behind the wheel is too soft and there being too few traffic officers they simply can't cover every patch of road. If they made the punishment more severe then it may make more think harder as to whether they need to use it.

my ZS is bluetoothed, but to be honest, its bad enough when the wife is in the car with me nagging me to slow down or whatever, when i am driving the only people trying to reach me are gonna moan at me so i am not paying it any interest. lol

my phone is a Samsung s5 and is only unlocked by fingerprint, so its a 2 hand affair, so i am never touching it whilst in motion, i know i would end up in a ditch

Could be worse...........facial recognition would cause an accident with you looking at the screen at the right angle!

My personal hate too. So much heartache can occur in just a second or two. A three month ban at least end of.
