I used to get better mpg in the Prelude doing 85-90 (on my private runway) than 70...

I put it down to the stupidly long ratio gears, but there may be more in it!

That was indicated speed.

Plugged the scangauge in for a short drive - the speed reading matches the GPS of the sat nav which is about 6% less than the speedo, strange as the scangauge uses the same source as the speedo.

That's what I discovered on the way to work yesterday using the OBD software on my phone (just had my Bluetooth OBDII key arrive!)

Have you also noticed that the rev gauge is out aswell compared to the ScanGauge?

15psi boost baby!:bounce:

Sounds reasonable... I'm averaging out about 30MPG day-to-day.

Does having a decat and uprated exhaust make you achieve a lower mpg figure?

I think my car is really underperforming at the moment. A few weeks ago I made the 207 mile trip down to dover with one or two stops for food on the way. I never let the speedo stray over 70mph as we were driving to Paris so all in all did not really want thrash the car! I put exactly 35 litres in prior to leaving as tank was on the red and it was empty by the time I reached Dover. To my best calculations thats well under 30MPG :S ??

Also even driving very cautiously through the gears and not really ever going over 3k revs I'm only getting around 19mpg.

Is my car seriously underporming or are the decat/exhaust majorly contributing to this?

Thanks Dan
